Edward Cabrera has worked on Wall Street for over 24 years with investment banks such as PaineWebber and Merrill Lynch. He has held many positions including equity analyst, market strategist, portfolio manager and investment banker. He started his Wall Street career in 1987 with specialization in the environmental service sector. He worked at Merrill Lynch for 11 years as a managing director and Head of Latin America where he built the top ranked team for the region, according to Greenwich Associate surveys and Latin Finance magazine polls. He was selected for the 2000 Millennium edition of Who's Who In Finance and has been named to the All-America team by Institutional Investor for the quality of his work.

Since 2003, Edward has been focused on providing advisory services and capital market access for emerging growth companies. Currently, Edward is Head of Investment Banking and Syndicate Manager at Wellington Shields & Co., a member of the New York Stock Exchange with five (5) offices throughout the country, 7 research analysts, over 70 retail brokers, two Morningstar-rated mutual funds and a pair of institutional desks trading for 800 institutional clients throughout the world.

Edward has an extensive technical and educational background. He received his Bachelor of Science from University of Florida in Engineering and Material Sciences where he graduated with Honors. After undergraduate, Edward worked for General Electric in the materials laboratory division. Edward left General Electric and graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Business with an MBA in 1987. Edward’s views and commentaries have often been cited by the Wall Street Journal, CNBC and New York Times.
